About

LOCAL IS OUR MAIN GOAL

The campaign was created in response to the COVID-19 outbreak to encourage Jamaicans to support our local agriculture industry and from there, our dairy, egg, meats and fish industries. The shut down of the local hotel industry in March 2020 resulted in a surplus of many local crops, meat and eggs, and for the period April to June 2020 the country was at risk of potentially losing JMD $8 billion.

Say Yes To Fresh is aimed at supporting local farmers and by extension, the entire Jamaican economy by mitigating huge losses in the industries of commerce, agriculture and fisheries. You can play your part and #SayYesToFresh by shopping at various outlets that sell local crops, dairy and livestock. Whatever channel you choose, whether small farmers, vendors, supermarkets, markets or larger distributors, you are sustaining and growing the local food industry.

Say Yes To Fresh

Lend support to the #SayYesToFreshMovement by buying from a small farmer, a street vendor, your nearest market, a distributor, or even a retail store. Our local industries will be better because of your support.

Support Our Farmers

Our farmers wear many hats and they all need your help to sustain their industries. Whether they are farmers of crops, dairy, livestock, or fish, they all need your help to stay afloat!

Buy With Purpose

Get value for your money when you buy local. We implore you to buy with purpose and purchase fresh local foods in lieu of imported and canned goods whenever you shop.

Partners

WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT US

#SayYesToFresh is proud to partner with a number of entities in the private and public sectors who are just as passionate as we are about supporting our local farmers. Working together, we are teaching our fellow Jamaicans that healthy options aren’t limited to produce and ground provisions. We feel nothing but gratitude to our partners helping us find new ways to promote healthier buying options, by encouraging our fellow Jamaicans to buy with purpose, and you guessed it, #SayYesToFresh!
